These activities had a primary aim of meeting with fishers and other stakeholders in Belize to exchange information and understand fishers’ ideas for strengthening fisheries management. The December fishers’ workshops were a direct follow-up to workshops held with fishers in June 2023. As with Launch Webinar #1, this webinar began with an introduction key project elements. Representatives of project partner organizations then introduces themselves and their colleagues, and expanded on their work on the project. The discussion following the presentation centered on inclusion of a wide range of organizations and individuals invested in the success of Belizean fisheries, and addressed questions relating to project data collection and survey fatigue of local communities.
